Louisville is one of my favorite cities and it was even better getting to photograph another bride in the most amazing friend group I am privileged enough to keep getting to work with. St. Boniface Catholic Church and The Bourbon Barrel Loft hosted the most fun, emotional, and intentional November Kentucky wedding.

Georgia and Enrique met in the army and tied the knot at St. Boniface Catholic Church in downtown Louisville, KY. Remember this engagement session? That was a great indicator that this would be a fun one.
Getting Ready in Downtown Louisville
We started with some quick bridal portraits in their getting ready space (these really only need a couple minutes and we can get some GLORIOUS portraits).

Then we moved outside for some portraits of the bridesmaids all together on the downtown streets. I absolutely love mixing candids into these big group portraits: bridesmaids adjusting the veil and organizing bouquets. It’s such a fun way to capture everyone’s personalities and tell the story of the whole wedding day.

We moved to St. Boniface where the groomsmen prayed over Enrique.

Mass at St. Boniface Catholic Church
Then Mass started! There was not a dry eye in the church during their Nuptial vows. St. Boniface was a STUNNING church and I would absolutely love to go back. Evening light (or lack thereof) can either make or break Catholic church photography and this church shone.

They incorporated el lasso into their wedding Mass which is a beautiful tradition that represents the couple’s unity through the sacrament: often practiced in Mexican, Spanish, and Filipino communities (but open to anyone!)

We squeezed the last bit of evening light for family and groomsmen portraits and then went back into the church for some portraits of just G and E.

Reception at The Bourbon Barrel Loft
Then we moved to The Bourbon Barrel Loft where everyone put on Stetsons, drank tequila, and partied well into the night.

(Not one, not two, but THREE of my brides in this photograph: Georgia, Monica, and Bri who we get to see at Our Lady of the Rosary in Dayton, Ohio this Summer!)
