Monica and Keane told me they wanted their day to feel “sentimental, timeless, and vintage” and their wedding day was all of those things and more.
We started the day at the beautiful Mansion on Monument where the ladies got ready surrounded by exposed brick, millwork, stained glass, and vintage decorations. Final floral touch ups were made, hair and makeup finished, dress was donned, and we had a blast knocking out bridal party photos with all 13 bridesmaids.

Meanwhile, the groom and groomsmen got ready and met up at America’s Packard Museum, where we got to do the guys’ photographs in front (and inside!) some truly beautiful vintage cars.

We ran across the street from there to capture one of my favorite parts of the day: Monica’s first look with her nieces and nephews. It was the sweetest and most special thing.

Their Nuptial Mass was transcendent: a beautiful visual reminder of how “thin” the space between heaven and earth is during the Mass. Family and bridal portraits followed, then Monica and Keane met up with their bridal party, grabbed some drinks, and everyone walked over to the reception venue. We stopped on the way to take some more bridal party photos at the Arcade. Then we partied! And boy was it a party.

I maintain my stance that kids bring an energy to the dance floor that nobody else can and between all the nieces and nephews, cousins, and family friends they had the vibes covered. I think the conga line went on for 30 minutes. Monica pulled off a reception surprise for Keane and revealed a brand new pair of sparkly white Ariats (so they could have matching boots, of course) and then everybody kept on dancing away.
